From a Mother's Perspective with Caren Francis

Here's another lunch time edition of: From a Mother's Perspective, featuring Caren Francis. And of course, you want to get to know her right? Okay, okay! Here goes...

Caren Francis is a Jesus junkie. She is a passionate lover of early childhood education with a warm, gentle spirit. Married to her husband of over 10 years: Courtney Francis, they parent three gorgeous and brilliant gems. Caren is most known for her selfless heart, infectious smile, excellent spirit and soulful laughs that will leave you rolling on the floor. She joins us today to give some insight into motherhood based on a few questions we've been asking mothers across the globe.

Q. What does motherhood mean to you?

A. Motherhood is the blessed opportunity given to me to nurture and to guide the children entrusted in my care; until they are able to stand on their own.

Q. How has motherhood nurtured you?

A. Motherhood has changed my life from the stand point that it is no longer just 'I', but it is 'I' with additions. So whatever  I do I try my best to live a life of example, ensuring to stay in line because every decision I make will  affect my children in a negative or positive way.

Q. What do you enjoy most about motherhood?

A. What I enjoy most about motherhood is the opportunity to watch my children grow from the stage of newborn, teenager, adolescent and into adulthood. The unique qualities that each possess, their differences, arguments and the ability to solve them on their own.

Q. Why are mothers important?

A. Mothers are important because of their built in mechanism that they possess to love, nurture and nourish; which they enjoy doing selflessly.

Q. Do you have any words of advice to existing and potential mothers?

A. My advice to potential and existing mothers would simply be this: motherhood is a blessing. There are some happy  moments and also some tearful moments; but it gives you great joy when you are able to look back and see the accomplishments of your child or children and think to yourself "I didn't do bad at all". Also, just to hear them say "mom thank you for all you have sacrificed and done for me." It indeed warms your heart.
